Boeing Secures $123M Bunker Buster Contract Amid Stock Slip
Boeing's defense division landed a $123 million contract to replace 14 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs used in June strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities. The 30,000-pound bunker busters represent the Pentagon's largest precision-guided weaponry, capable of penetrating 200 feet underground.
Despite the defense win, Boeing shares dipped slightly in Tuesday trading. The contract comes as the Air Force separately funds next-generation development of the weapon system with Boeing and Applied Research Associates.
